Augusta Ranch Golf Club's instruction staff is committed to helping golfers get the most from their golf game. Our four instructors hold weekly clinics that will introduce golf to the beginner, brush off the cobwebs from a layoff from golf, or simply help the average golfer determine if they need or want one on one instruction.

Don Rea, PGA - Owner/Operator
Don worked as a Minor League Professional Umpire for nine years before joining the golf business in 1999 starting at Augusta Ranch Golf Club. He became a Class – A member of the PGA of America in 2002 when he transferred to the Golf Club at Eagle Mountain. Mr. Rea was formerly the Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Platinum Golf Properties in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Golf Club at Eagle Mountain was ranked #1 Public Golf Course in Arizona in 2006 and 2007 under his direction while achieving record breaking years of profitability. In addition, Augusta Ranch Golf Club has been rated the “Best Executive Golf Course in Arizona” by the Arizona Republic and was selected “Host Club of the Year” by the Arizona Women’s Golf Association.
He is a Certified PGA Professional in General Management and serves as Vice President for the Southwest Section PGA. Don chairs the SWSPGA Finance Committee and attended San Diego State University and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, studying Aerospace Engineering.
Don and his wife Karen purchased Augusta Ranch Golf Club in July 2008 with the help of the Your Source Private Equity Fund. He is married with a 21 year old son and 10 year old daughter
Don has taught over 500 lessons and loves to work with Beginners to Advanced. His hands on approach makes both Juniors and Seniors alike relaxed and receptive to learn.

Wade Henry - Head Professional (PGA Apprentice)
Wade is an excellent example of our junior golf program at work. Wade grew up playing in our Sno Cone Open, practiced at Augusta Ranch Golf Club, played high school golf at Augusta Ranch and attended college on a golf scholarship at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Wade returned to Augusta Ranch Golf Club and began in outside service. After he began working as an assistant professional in the golf shop he started his apprenticeship in the PGA. Wade was mentored on the golf swing under Joshua not only as a player but as an instructor as well.
Wade is a very talented player that has excelled at all levels of competitive golf. His commitment to your success will inspire you to reach your full potential as a golfer.
